You are rigth life will be more simple if relationships will
work that way, anyway we are educated to feel bad for
others, and we do not like to see them suffer (not
realizing, as you said, that this acttitude can cause
further pain). Another element to consider is sometimes we
do not get a sign from the other, cause they do not have
it! Usually we are not sure of what we want, when we have
the person we want and sure of their love, we tend to
despite, and visceversa.
